SATURDAY at Heathcote Golf Club was a day of mystery as players engaged in a game of secret partners.

The winners were Tristen Wearne and David Baldock with a combined score of 73 stableford points.

Nearest the pins went to Kent Davies (13th), Paul Rolfe (18th), Adrian Goudie (8th hole, A grade), and Tristen Wearne (8th hole, ladies).

The men’s individual winner was Ray Farrally with 45 points off 31 and the ladies winner was June Roberts who scored 41 off a handicap of 37.

Charles Davies had the honour of winning the NAGA.

Meanwhile the stableford event on Tuesday, March 17 was won by Kent Davies with 36 points off a handicap of 2.

Balls were won by Larry Maxwell, Colin Green and Geoff Cutting while nearest the pin went to Geoff Cutting.

In Wednesday’s ladies stroke competition and qualifying round for the singles knockout Dot Trott came out on top with a score of 102-29-73.

Ball winners were Margaret Sims (108-34-74) and Carol Stuart (96-20-76).

Nearest the pins went to Dot Trott on the 8th, Carol Stuart on the 18th, while second shot on the 18th went to Margaret Sims.

Helen Carlin won the Grace Plane Putting competition with 27 putts.

Round one of the ladies knockout competition was also fixtured as follows: Dot Trott v Daphne Hall; Helen Carlin v Kelli Obst; Margaret Sims v Cathy Shaddock; and Carol Stuart v June Roberts.

Margaret Sims defeated Cathy Shaddock 3/2, in the first match played.

Players are reminded to commit to a date and play promptly.

Thursday’s open stroke competition was won by Larry Maxwell (74-5-69) in division one while John Mugavin (81-18-69) won division two.

Balls went to Craig Davies (83-12-75), David Clouston (74-0-74), Andee Davidson (87-13-74), Richard Higginbottom (108-34-74) and Kent Davies (77-2-75).

Birdies were scored by Kent Davies on the 8th and Larry Maxwell on the 18th.

Paul Wintle scored a par ball.
