Weather keeps golfers at bay

THE ladies played stableford at Heathcote Golf Club on Wednesday and the day was won by Daphne Hall who scored 36 points off a handicap of 43.

Cathy Shaddock was the runner-up scoring 32 points off 41, followed by Carol Stuart with 30 points off 18.

Heathcote Golf Club extends a warm welcome to new member Sue Collins who won nearest the pin, second shot on the 18th hole.

BRYCE Pianta won Thursday’s competition in division one with 41 points.

The winner in division two was Craig Davies who scored 37 points, while Kent Davies won the super pin. Birdies were scored by Kent Davies and John Dobie on the 18th and Bryce Pianta on the 8th.

Ball winners were John Mugavin, Kent Davies, Shane Morris, Matt King, Greg Long, John Dobie and John Blundell.

WHILE most of the golfers were very happy to stay dry and watch the lovely rain on Saturday, some of the men did play with James Baker winning the monthly medal with a score of 41 points.

THE annual Ambrose Fours Any Combination Ovarian Cancer Day in memory of Jean and Kevin Paton is on Sunday, November 17 with both morning and afternoon time slots costing $80 per team.
