ON SUNDAY after a cold start, 22 teams played 4 games of 10 ends in near perfect conditions.
Teams included players from Heathcote, Seymour, Seymour VRI, Colbinabbin, Stanhope, Whittlesea, Broadford.
The team from Whittlesea took out the title, Lyle Williams[s], Mick Kirk and Andrew Ross scoring three wins and a draw.
Runner-up was the team skippered by Jim Bruce from Seymour with three wins.

On Wednesday in cool conditions, 10 bowlers played three games of pairs and triples. The winners were Smokey Dawson[s], Ellis Knight and Kelvin Hamilton (2 wins, 33 points, +17 shots). Runners-up were John McGillivray[s] and Ilona Hutterer (2 wins, 32 points, +9 shots). The jackpot was not won.
On Saturday 22 bowlers, including four visitors from Seymour, played three games of pairs and triples in pleasant conditions. The winners were Smokey Dawson[s] (again), Anita (from Seymour) and Dinah Finn (3 wins, 46 points, +22 shots). Runners-up were Eileen O’Brien[s], Les Morante and Ilona Hutterer (3 wins, 45 points, +19 shots) from Grant Baker[s] and Judy McDonald (3 wins, 42 points, +8 shots). The jackpot was won by Dot Cutajar and Alan Perry and will be $200.00 today, Wednesday June 12.
