Heathcote on Show suspended

By McIvor Times

THE Heathcote Tourism and Development board has decided to suspend Heathcote on Show after it became clear COVID-19 would be having an impact into June and beyond.

HTD president Peter Maine said Heathcote on Show would not be run on the Queen’s Birthday weekend.

“HTD and the Heathcote on Show organising committee wants you to know that the current priority is the health and wellbeing of members, their staff, our wine lovers, the local community and the Australian public in general,” Mr Maine said.

“HTD is in a good financial position and we will use that strength to develop options to help the local region once normality returns.”

HTD has also been notifying its members of the Victorian Government’s hotline for businesses dealing with significant challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Businesses across the state can access information on dealing with COVID-19 by calling the Business Victoria hotline on 13 22 15.

In addition to calling the Business Victoria hotline, business operators can also find information at business.vic.gov.au
