HEATHCOTE Football Netball Club’s 2019 netball team trials have uncovered some promising new talent.
About 25 women attended the first round of trials held on Tuesday, December 17 in Heathcote.
After a washout the week before, players tested out the new court at Barrack Reserve with success.
Saints netball coach Lorrae Closter said the club was hoping to attract even more players to the final trial, which is set for Saturday 20 January at Strathdale Park.
‘‘Last season showed a lot of positive changes both on and off the court,’’ Closter said.
‘‘We have seen a fantastic cultural shift within the club.
‘‘On court, we aim to build on the solid framework laid down in the 2018 season.
‘‘Once teams are established we will sit down and set goals and a plan for the year ahead.
‘‘We are excited for 2019 with some amazing new facilities, including the new court at Heathcote.
‘‘We encourage anyone who may be interested in playing to come along to the final trial session.’’
