THE blue shirts of Holy Rosary Primary School were Bendigo bound last month for the school cricket competition.
A girls and boys team entered the competition and played three games against other schools.
The girls dominated the competition, cruising into the finals and taking the silverware.
The boys were not as successful, suffering defeats in their three games. They still managed to make the finals but bowed out in the late stages.
Principal Paul Dullard said he was pleased to see the blue shirts representing Heathcote on the cricket pitch.
“It’s really important to get out and represent our school and the area,” he said.
“Some intense training went into preparation for the event and the students were keen to get out on the field.
“A big thanks is owed to Mrs Keating, Mr Geary and Jorgie for working with the students on their skills and making the day a success.”
