Today the 45th Hutcheon and Pearce Quadripartite tournament will be staged.

There is a capacity entry of 112 bowlers and play will be held on the four greens available.

Thanks to the RS Club for the use of their greens for this historic event.

Players are from 18 different clubs.

The Club Championships for the season have now been won.

Nan Smith had a convincing win over Tracey Miles and recorded her third consecutive Ladies Championship title.

In the men’s division, Bob Poore was a gallant winner over Don McKellar, 25-21. It was a very close game throughout and enjoyed by the spectators.

Earlier, Bob received a forfeit from Brandon Mison, whilst Don had a close encounter with Ash Haines.

Don was down 11-19 after 14 ends of play but his application and determination prevailed to record a 25-24 victory.

Both winners will later play in the Champion of Champions event.

Congratulations to all the finalists; they all gave of their best and we herald in our worthy champions for the year.

Well done, Nan and Bob!
