Super Retail Group has snagged former Coles executive Paul Bradshaw as the new managing director of its Boating, Camping and Fishing business.
Mr Bradshaw will manage Super Retail's network of 130 BCF stores from November this year, replacing interim manager Ethan Orsini, who has held the position since February.
Super Retail said Mr Bradshaw had served in various executive leadership positions over nine years at Coles, and had previously worked in the UK for supermarket retailer ASDA.
"Having worked with some of the world's most successful brands in his 30-year career in the retail sector, Paul will bring hands-on leadership, extensive operational experience and a sharp focus on retail execution to the business," chief executive Anthony Heraghty said in a statement.
Mr Heraghty was formerly in charge of the BCF brand for Super Retail Group, before being promoted to chief executive after the departure of long-time boss Peter Birtles in February.
Mr Birtles' exit was brought forward after a review of Super Retail's employment arrangements showed $32 million in overtime hours had not been paid in accordance with the General Retail Industry Award over the past six years.
Employee compensation weighed the company's first-half profit down by 0.7 per cent to $71.7 million despite Rebel Sport and Macpac owner's increased revenue.
Despite the extra pressure on margins, the retail giant's shares hit a six-month high in April, which Super Retail Group said was bolstered by BCF maintaining its growth trajectory.
At 1055 AEST, Super Retail Shares were up 1.07 per cent to $9.48.
