NOW that the pennant season has finished, lawn bowlers turn their attention to the winter season playing social bowls and winter tournaments.

On Wednesday, despite some bowlers playing Bendigo Country Week, 14 players enjoyed three games of pairs and triples in warm and windy conditions at heathcote Bowling Club.

The team consisting of Eileen OBrien[s] and Rod Hanson was the only teamto win all three games finishing with45 points and+21 shots. The pairing ofPaul Mason[s] and Ellis Knight, with2 wins,34 points, and+7 shots were runners-up.The jackpot was not won and will be $200.00 on Wednesday March 28.

The much-needed rains on Saturday caused the cancellation of social bowls.

Annual General Meeting:

The AGM of the Heathcote Bowling Club will be held on Sunday May 27at 2.00pm at the Clubrooms.

Nominations for all positions close at 4.00pmon Saturday May 19.

Ladies Tournament:

The annual Ladies Mixed Triples Tournament sponsored by Apia will be held on ThursdayApril 5at 10.00am. More teams are welcome and interested players shouldcontact Denise Anderson on54332037 or the Bowling Club on54333584.
