Mrs Markham said the litter has been slowly increasing over the last few months and she can’t understand why people see it as acceptable.

KYLIE Markham of Petwerx Pet Care Service walks along the old rail trail more than most people.

“I walk down that trail once every couple of days and have been doing so for the last couple of months as I have a new client in the area,” Mrs Markham said.

Lately, Mrs Markham has been left “disgusted” and “disheartened” by the lack of care from locals.

“It’s between Victoria Hill Rd and Spring Flat Rd, and the ever increasing amount of litter I am seeing is truly disgusting.”

Mrs Markham said the litter has been slowly increasing over the last few months and she can’t understand why people see it as acceptable.

“It’s quite disheartening really, you walk down these parts to get a nice clean area and it is the opposite.

“It is always more so straight after the weekend, and I know that when I walk past it, probably half of it has already been blown around by the wind.

“I think the worst bit is that it’s quite obvious people stop and dump their rubbish out, why can’t they just hold onto it until they see a bin.

“I have lived in this area for a while now and I love my country space and clean areas, and I just wish people looked after it more.”
