Carol Stuart blasted out of cruise control and straight into overdrive, scoring with 39 points to win easily from Helen Carlin on 32 and third place winner Sue Green, who posted 31 points. Sue also took out the NTP 8th hole.

Congratulations to Carol for playing some great golf and for winning two medals in the same week.

The mens field on Saturday consisted of 27 and was bolstered with five visitors to take part in a stableford competition. Alan Stobaus had a good day, winning division one with 39 points on a countback from David Clouston. David Baldock made it a weekly double with his 35 points winning him the division two title.

Ball winners were: John Freestone (Romsey Golf Club) 34, Paul Rolfe 34, Adrian King 33, Adrian Goudie 33, Greg Long 33 and Ian Furneaux 33.

Alan Stobaus won NTP on the 13th; a visitor Les Gaunt (Romsey Golf Club) was NTP on the 16th and the 18th hole NTP went to David Clouston (A grade and superpin) and Ian Furneaux (C grade).

Birdies went to Paul Rolfe (8th), David Clouston (8th and 18th) and the encouragement award went to Phil Coleman for his 24 points.

■ A GROUP of 19 men vied for the prizes on Thursday but were no match for David Baldock who was on-song with 88-19-69. Balls were won by John Mugavin 94-21-73, Kent Davies 78-5-73 and Adrian Goudie 81-8-73.

Adrian Goudie also birdied the 8th and 18th holes and was nearest the pin on the latter. Martin Sims celebrated his return from a holiday with a par ball.

■ CAROL Stuart cruised around the course on Wednesday in a sweet-swinging mode to score 91-17-74 and in doing so secured the monthly medal trophy.

Cathy Shaddock finished runner-up with 115-39-76, while Regina Drivers 103-25-78 placed her in third position on the day.

Helen Carlin was nearest on the 8th hole and Cathy Shaddock was closest in the 30+ division on the 18th. Amanda Long excelled on the greens with her 29 putts proving to be the days best.

■ DOT Trott, Carol Stuart and Dot McGillivray ventured to Kyneton to compete in an Irish 3-ball against a field of 75 ladies from 19 different clubs on Tuesday. The Heathcote trio combined well to post 81 points and finish in second place behind the winning team of Robyn MacRae (Kyneton), Tina Fountain and Irene Davey (Seymour) whose score of 88 points proved unbeatable on the day.

■ SEVEN players arrived for a pleasant day of golf last Sunday, which saw Stephen Hudson survive two close encounters and score 35 points to win on a double countback from Jan Case and Dawn Hudson. Dawn nailed a great birdie on the 7th hole while Amanda Long took out the encouragement award.
