THE Heathcote Saints welcomed footballing royalty into their camp last Thursday night. Leading into the start of the season, Mick McGuane hosted training at Barrack Reserve.
The players were able to gain some valuable insight and lessons from the Collingwood legend.
McGuane played 155 AFL games: 152 for Collingwood and three for Carlton.
In his time at Collingwood, McGuane won two best and fairest medals.
After the session, McGuane joined players as well as locals from around the community for a barbecue.
Let’s hope this inspiration has set our Heathcote boys up for a big year on the park.
