RELATIONSHIPS Australia Victoria (RAV) is offering clients online support from a professional counsellor, through the launch of their online counselling service.

The service allows people to participate in an online, chat-based counselling appointment with a qualified, experienced RAV counsellor.

Chief executive Dr Andrew Bickerdike said that RAV had developed the online platform to provide an additional way of supporting people who may otherwise not access counselling services.

“We know people can encounter barriers to accessing traditional face-to-face services, because of accessibility issues, convenience or stigma. We also know that technology is changing the way in which services can be delivered,” Dr Bickerdike said.

“Our online counselling service has been designed to help more people access services, when and where it suits them. It’s convenient, private and simple to use.”
