City of Greater Bendigo Mayor Margeret O'Rourke urges Heathcote residents to attend the Summer Family Fun Day where they can learn and have input into local council projects.

THIS Friday is your chance as a Heathcote local to have a say on the development of the Heathcote Township Plan and learn about other Council projects at the Summer Family Fun Day.

The Fun Day will be held at Barrack Reserve from 3.30pm to 7pm and will include a pool party (free entry), jumping castle, face painting, animal farm and DJ music. The night market will be held alongside.

City staff will have a stall at the event to discuss plans for Heathcote with interested locals, and also go through the recently completed 2017-2021 Heathcote and District Community Plan.

Mayor Margaret O’Rourke encouraged Heathcote residents to come along.

“While you’re there, take the opportunity to chat to staff about what is happening in Heathcote at the moment and see how we are progressing on key actions that the community has identified,” Cr O’Rourke said.

There will be a range of stalls promoting other community-led projects at the event.
