SANTA will take a break from his busy schedule over the Christmas period, paying Heathcote a visit on his annual lolly run next Friday.
Riding a fire engine from Heathcote CFA, Santa will give the jingle bells a rest, using a fire siren to announce his progress.
Heathcote CFA captain Carl Watkins said Father Christmas and his band of helpers would be stopping on street corners to hand out bags of lollies to local kids.
‘‘It’s become more and more popular each year and is now a much-anticipated tradition in town,’’ Capt Watkins said.
Santa will be starting his trip through town at 7pm.
This year —for all those children who have behaved themselves — Santa is expected to make stops at the following locations: the corner of Kilmore and Victoria Hill roads; the corner of Herriot and Ebden streets; the corner of Ebden and Chauncey streets; the corner of Ebden and Pohlman streets; the corner of Ebden and Mitchell streets; the corner of Mitchell and Playne; the corner of Playne and Pohlman; the corner of Playne and Chauncey; the corner of Playne and Herriot; the corner of Wright and Chauncey streets; the corner of Wright and Pohlman streets; the corner of Wright and Mitchell streets, the corner of Shakespeare St and Scully’s Lane and the corner of Scully’s Lane and Wattle Drive.
