ON NOVEMBER 24 at 7pm the Heathcote brigade received a call out to a grassfire along Tooborac-Lancefield Rd.

Six brigades were called, however the fire was soon brought under control and the brigade turned around before reaching the site.

■At 5.30pm on November 25 the Heathcote brigade responded to call for a thermal imaging camera to be used at a grassfire in Wirrate, between Heathcote and Nagambie.

The fire started after a utility parked over dry grass, which ignited. The vehicle was burned, as well as 20 acres of grass. The blaze stopped when it reached a creek, however thermal imaging was used to check if the fire had spread to the roots of stumps.
