AFTER a successful inaugural event, organisers of Heathcote’s Wine Down Sunday say there are plans to continue the event next year.

With about 250 people attending the events held at wineries around the area, the fringe festival of Bendigo Blues and Roots looks set to become a permanent fixture on the Heathcote calendar.

As part of the organising committee, Steven Trompp said a review process will help determine how the group will go ahead.

“For a first-off event it was quite successful, but it depends on what our review finds,” Mr Trompp said.

“The main things to consider will be timing, venues and artists. There is the possibility of adding more if we receive enough interest in the festival.”
