Sports clubs, not-for-profit organisations and community groups are being encouraged to apply for assistance

Member for Euroa Steph Ryan is encouraging groups across the Euroa electorate to take advantage of the third and final round of the community shade grants program.

Ms Ryan said funding was available in three bands – band one up to $5,000, band two $5,000 to $20,000, and band three $20,000-$50,000 — with applicants able to apply for only one grant.

“The program provides funding to build new shade structures, repair or replace existing shade structures, create natural shade by planting trees, purchase a portable shade, or a combination of options,” Ms Ryan said.

“Applicants for new, repair or replacement, natural and portable shade may also apply for up to an additional $700 for sunscreen and hats.

“There are a number of community organisations in the Euroa electorate that could put additional shade structures to good use.”

The application process involves two stages. Stage one is expressions of interest and stage two involves a full application from shortlisted applicants only.

For more information call Steph Ryan’s office on 03 5762 1600 or email [email protected]

Applications for the Community Shade Grants Program close at 5pm on November 30, 2017.
