Ann Bainbridge-Robb won November's monthly medal.

Sue Green was Saturday's stableford winner.

ON HALLOWEEN (Tuesday October 31), Heathcote Golf Club’s ladies played a stroke event which incorporated November’s monthly medal and the first round of the Summer Cup.

Anne Bainbridge-Robb posted 92-21-71 to secure first place to carry the day and take home the monthly medal, ahead of runner-up Cathy Shaddock on 112-40-72. Dawn Hudson took out the NTP 2nd shot 18th.

Thursday, November 2: Dot Trott, Carol Stuart and Regina Driver travelled to Kyneton to compete in the 3-person aggregate Challenge Bowl on Thursday, November 2. Although the Heathcote ladies were previous winners of this event, the three doughty fillies did not find the going to their liking this time around.

Saturday, November 4: Sue Green negotiated the cored greens with ease on Saturday to record a comfortable win with 37 stableford points. Runners-up were June Roberts (34 points) and Cathy Shaddock (32 points).

On the same day, the ranks of the men were swelled by five visitors from Bendigo Golf Club and the slowness of the green did not appear to concern either of the two winners.

Tony Hunter’s 39 points accounted for the division one field and the evergreen John Blundell continued his winning form with 38 points in division two.

Ball winners were Terry Shiels 36, David Ellenby 36, Geoff Cutting 34, Ron Blachford 34 and Paul Rolfe 34. John Dobie hit a superb shot to win the 13th hole NTP and claimed a birdie in the process.

On the 18th hole David Ellenby was closest in division one while a visitor, Ivan Long, was best in division two and won the superpin.

Vic Golf Spring Tournament at Mansfield Golf Club: Both Tristen and Stephanie Wearne played well at the Vic Golf Spring Tournament which was held at Mansfield Golf Club.

Stephanie had a good win in the 36 hole A grade nett and was placed 3rd in the gross. Tristen put together two solid rounds to be 6th in the overall gross.

Dot McGillivray played in B grade but didn’t fire in either the gross or nett events. Very good work by the ladies while representing the club!

Coming events:

Today: Ladies stableford.

Tomorrow: Mens stroke 11th round of the mid week championships.

Saturday, November 11: Ladies GOTY stableford First round Summer Championships (best four of eight) and men’s GOTY stableford.
