THE inaugural Nulla Vale and Pyalong West Landcare Group Photoprize was held last Friday at Tooborac Hall.
The competition and presentation dinner were sponsored by the Bendigo Community Bank at Romsey and Lancefield.
Photoprize entrants were invited to submit environmental photographs taken in the visually remarkable country around Lancefield, Pyalong and Tooborac.
70 people attended the presentation dinner and exhibition.
Special guest Bruce Woodley AO, of the Seekers, was one of three judges and presented the prizes.
The judges awarded commendations to five photographers: Ashley Cowburn, Ben Cunningham, Peter Sanders, Jeff Young and Clair Dingey.
Third prize went to Mike Reed of Melbourne for his ethereal landscape.
Second place was Cherry Cole of Riddles Creek for her serene landscape.
And first prize went to Toni Pasterla of Nulla Vale for her superb image of the Nulla Vale Dawn.
