THREE community groups are the lucky recipients of grants as part of the Heathcote and District Community Bank grants program.
Stephen Trompp, services chairman of Heathcote and District Financial Services, announced the successful recipients at the recent annual meeting.
Mr Trompp said the grants would not have been possible without the support of the community.
‘‘These grants and our sponsorships throughout the year are available as a result of the community choosing to bank with us,’’ Mr Trompp said.
‘‘The more local people and businesses we have banking with us, the more funds there will be available for return to the community. It really is as simple as that.’’
Redesdale CFA will receive $1,350 to go towards their upcoming camp oven cook off. The community bank will also be covering the cost of an animal show at the event, making it free for all children attending.
Heathcote Golf Club have received $3,000 to cover the cost of two new split systems for their clubhouse to provide a comfortable space for community use throughout the year.
Heathcote SES received $4,000 towards upgrades to their headquarters, ensuring they are able to continue their work in the community.
Mr Trompp said supporting community projects is vital.
‘‘We were very impressed with the quality of applications received and are delighted to be able to support a range of projects, many of which may not have been financially viable without the support of our branch,’’ Mr. Trompp said.
