THE BEERS will flow at the Tooborac Hotel’s sixth annual OkTOOBerfest beer festival on October 28. Each year the hotel hosts families, groups, and friends to celebrate German tradition, craft beer and all things local.
Hotel owner Valerie Carlin said the traditional Oktoberfest has been an important part of Bavarian culture since first being held in 1810, and is a tradition that is celebrated all over the world.
“There is something for everyone here at the festival,” she said.
“We offer a jumping castle and fun-filled activities for the kids, a wide range of craft beer for the adults and live music for everyone to enjoy.”
Head brewer Pete Martin is celebrating his third OkTOOBerfest at the hotel and said he was looking forward to pouring the limited-edition German inspired brew.
“This beer is only offered once a year so make sure you come and have a stein or two”.
The venue will set up with the band on stage, brewery on show, outdoor food facilities and a children’s area.
Kicking off at 11am on OkTOOBer 28, tickets are available online or at the gate.
All adult tickets include a 0.5 or one litre stein filled with Tooborac craft beer and children under five are free.
On the day, a total of nine craft beers will be offered on tap between their indoor and outdoor bars with plenty in the fridge to take home.
Tooborac will offer a wide range of award-winning brews such as our Shearer’s lager, Stonemason’s pale ale, Gunslingers American pale ale, Woodcutter’s amber ale, Blacksmith’s porter, seasonal delights and their new Mid-Strength Traveller.
Owners James and Valerie Carlin, manager Vince Martinico and all the staff invite the public to enjoy the warm central Victorian hospitality, a taste of the country and a touch of German frivolity.
