THE Heathcote Masonic Lodge will open its doors at 3.30pm on Saturday, September 16 for locals to witness the investiture of the Officers of the Lodge and experience this colourful ceremony.

There will be a guest speaker explaining some of the history and aims of Freemasonry and answer any questions that you may have and the Heathcote Lodge members will also explain the significant role that partners and family contribute to the success of Lodge activities.

Freemasonry is the oldest fraternal organisation in the world with over five million members across the globe and the investiture ceremony is over 300 years old, steeped in tradition and Masonic history.

It is an organisation where men are equal and where the principles of Freemasonry are upheld by members and demonstrated through ceremonies, charitable works, respect and community support.

This is an excellent opportunity for the community to join with past and present Freemasons and learn about Freemasonry.

Following the official ceremony and commencing at 3:30pm there will be a celebratory dinner at the RSL Hall and the public are most welcome to attend.

The cost of a ticket for the dinner is $35 per person or $60 per couple. Dress for the occasion is smart casual. If you would like to attend either or both events, please RSVP Wayne McKay on 0421 040 672 or 5433 2017
