Police are investigating a farm theft from Toolleen.

HEATHCOTE police are appealing for information after three gates were stolen from a Toolleen farm in the past three weeks.

Two 12-foot and one 10-foot gate were taken from sheepyards on the Axedale-Crosbie Rd.

The gates were valued at a total of $400.

Senior constable Karl Kerschbaumer said it was the third time in the past six to eight months the farming property had been targeted.

“Various farm supplies have been stolen from this property in the recent past,” he said.

“We urge locals to keep an eye out for suspicious vehicles and report to police if they see anything suspicious.

“Farmers are reporting these things more frequently, which is positive.

“Without the reports it’s hard for us to know what’s going on.”

Anyone with information should contact the Heathcote police on 5433 3711 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
