CONTINUING fine weather has seen good numbers enjoying social bowls on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

CONTINUING fine weather has seen good numbers enjoying social bowls on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Last Wednesday, 23 bowlers played three games of pairs and triples with two teams winning all three games.

On the points system the winners were Denise Anderson (s), Dinah Finn and Judy McDonald (three wins, 44 points, +10 shots).

Runners-up were Greg Speirs (s) and Ilona Hutterer (three wins, 43 points, +13 shots) from Peter Cunningham (s) and Rod Hanson (two wins, 34 points, +6 shots). The jackpot was not won.

On Saturday April 15 in bright sunshine, 15 players enjoyed three games of pairs and triples.

Only one team won all three games and that was the first placed team consisting of Frank Cutajar (s), Ron Hanson and Grant Baker (three wins, 43 points, +11 shots).

Runners-up were Bill Gardiner (s) and Alan Perry (two wins, 33 points, +14 shots).

The jackpot was not won and will be $60 today.

Wednesday, April 19: Mixed social bowls at 1pm.

Saturday, April 21: Mixed social bowls at 1pm.

Tuesday, April 25: On Anzac Day, the annual Roy Tattersall Memorial Triples will be contested by 26 teams starting at 10am.

Sunday, May 21: The Heathcote Bowling Club AGM will be held at 2pm in the clubrooms. Nomination forms are available at the clubrooms or by contacting the secretary Peter Cunningham.
