Taylor scored the ace the par three 12th hole.

A total of 59 men took part in a stableford event at the club. The event was sponsored by Bendigo Bearings.

In division one (0-15) the winner was Garry Harrop (12 h/c, 38 pts). The runner-up was Rob Taylor (12 h/c, 37 pts). Third place went to Sam Bilardi (14 h/c, 36 pts).

In division two (16-21), Ian Martin (16 h/c, 43 pts) took out first place while the runner-up, on a countback, was John Randles (19 h/c, 39 pts). Third place went to Tim Holmes (17 h/c, 39 pts).

First place in division three (22-36) was decided by a countback, the winner being Tony Lindrea (25 h/c, 37 pts). Alan Clements was runner-up (23 h/c, 37 pts), while third place went to Peter Thomas (23 h/c, 35 pts) on a countback.

Ball winners: John Taylor 38, Daryl Fleay 37, Mick Purdon 36, Peter Hoskin 35, John McCulloch 35 and Mike Fitzgerald on a countback.

Longest drive: Alan Clements.

1st hole division one: Dennis Higgins; division two: John Randles.

3rd hole, 2nd shot division one: David Ivey; division two: John Murdoch.

6th hole open: Daryl Fleay.

On Saturday, 63 men and 32 mixed teams took part in a 2-Person Ambrose and Stableford event which was sponsored by Bendigo Mazda.

Stableford:

In division one of the stableford the winner was Peter King (16 h/c, 43 nett). The runner-up was Sam Bilardi (14 h/c, 42 nett). Third place went to Mark Fitzpatrick (16 h/c, 40 nett).

In division two the winner was John Randles (19 h/c, 40 nett). The runner-up was Peter Richardson (18 h/c, 39 nett), while third place went to Geoff Kerr (20 h/c, 37 nett).

In division three the winner was Rob Murrell (25 h/c, 43 nett). The runner-up was Martin Skahill (22 h/c, 38 nett). Dennis Boden was awarded third place on a countback (24 h/c, 37 nett).

Ball winners: Jock Catto 38, Glenn Laity 38, Gary Beames 37, David Lubke 37, Peter Krone 36 and Ernie Lowndes 36 on a countback.

Mixed Pairs (2-Person) Ambrose:

Gary and Kate Harrop teamed up to take out first place in the mixed pairs ambrose (71 gross, 11.5 h/c, 59.5 nett). Rod and Maureen Connelly finished second (72 gross, 11.25 h/c, 60.75 nett). The team of Len Rodda and Loretta Prowse finished third (70 gross, 7.75 h/c, 62.25 nett).

The ball winners in the mixed pairs ambrose were John Dunn and Anne Telford (74 gross, 10.5 h/c, 63.5 nett).
